The sentencing for the former co-director of Our Daily Bread was stopped abruptly after he developed a medical condition and was taken to the hospital.
Right in the middle of the sentencing on Wednesday, the proceeding stopped after 59-year-old Scott Catlett became ill. Paramedics were called in and took him to the hospital. Catlett was in court to be sentenced on a kidnapping charge that he pled guilty to as part of a plea deal in October. With that deal, Catlett could face up to 11 years in prison and have to pay up to 20 thousand dollars in fines.
Catlett was initially charged in July on two counts of rape, one count of kidnapping, and one count of assault. No word yet when a new sentencing date will be set for Catlett.
