The Children's Garden in downtown Lima was given a little TLC from PPG Friday afternoon.
The garden was the recipient of PPG Paint's Colorful Communities grant, which was used to re-paint several of the structures and displays in the garden. 10 employees from both PPG Coating Services and Metokote volunteered their time to help paint, and the project was a nice opportunity for those employees to bring some color to downtown.
"This is a great team building event - we've got a number of our coworkers here with us today and everybody feels good about being able to contribute to the community and participating in something like this?," said Jeff Oravitz, vice president of PPG Coating Services.
PPG also included 20 gallons of paint and paint supplies as part of the grant.
