City Looks to Take Action Against Local Bar

In the past six months there have been two shootings at the G-Spot bar in downtown Lima, now city officials are looking to take action.

A shooting early Tuesday morning at the bar on East North Street, lead to the death of 26-year-old Remeal Ingrim. This is the same location of a shooting in late March that sent three people to the hospital. City officials say they will now be looking at different measures they can take.

"The police department is investigating the latest incident that happened at the G-Spot bar. The time to object to the renewal of the liquor licenses for all bars in the state is May of every year, so it's too late to object to the license through that process, but we are investigating other avenues we can take to try to address the situation," Tony Geiger, City Law Director, said.

Geiger says you can expect to see some changes in the next few weeks.
