LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) — Participants in the City of Lima's Summer Parks Program hit the road Monday for a field trip to Ohio State Lima, where they spent several hours learning, playing games and exploring science activities.

The visit centered around hands-on experiences designed to keep children engaged throughout the day. One of the highlights was digging for dinosaurs and learning more about prehistoric creatures. Participants also took part in several games and recreational activities, including bingo and wiffle ball.

Kamden Relford said, "We went to science and we looked at some fossils and we learned about dinosaurs. And then we went, we played some games at, played bingo and this other game, I forget what it was called. And we went to gym to play wiffle ball."

Ava Ames added, "Then we went to go see dinosaurs and then after that we Then we went to here, and then we played bingo four times."

The City of Lima's Summer Parks Program will continue through the end of July, providing children with opportunities to participate in educational and recreational activities throughout the summer.
