A congressman representing Ohio's 10th congressional district toured the Lima tank facility on Wednesday along with the Assistant Army Secretary.
Congressman Mike Turner, who is also the senior member of the House Armed Services Committee, toured the facility along with Doug Bush who is the Assistant Secretary of the Army for Acquisition, Logistics, and Technology.
Turner has been supportive of securing federal funding for the facility, as well as increasing production.
"The work that is done here is even all that more important as we look to what Russia is currently doing and Putin's adventuresomeness," said Turner. "It's important for us to come here today and talk about their work, the increased demand that there will be for what's made here. As we look to our Polish allies who are now requesting equipment from this plant. We see very great things happening in the future and we want to make sure the plant can respond to that."
