Continuing to Grow at Otterbein Cridersville

Otterbein Cridersville celebrated a new addition to their campus Friday morning.

The new expansion to the campus was two years and $3.2 million in the making.  Unveiled were 24 new private suites, a new therapy gym, and a communal kitchen and dining area.  The rooms all include their own kitchen and closet for the residents, giving them the chance to live independently.

The expansion was done for the benefit of the residents to make them as comfortable as possible.

"You definitely need more rooms for the older generation, but you also need more open space and general space," said Gary Horning, Vice President of Marketing and Communication for Otterbein Senior Life Choices.  "The way of the future is to give them privacy, and give them that private suite, but also lots of open areas and general space and the objective is to go beyond healthcare and provide socialization, dietary, safety."

The campus at Cridersville houses around 250 residents overall.
