Crestview and Lincolnview Go Head to Head in Fundraising

Two schools with two different views, Crestview and Lincolnview, are working together to raise money for the United Way.

These "Rivals United" will not only be competing in basketball, but in fundraising too. Both schools have been busy all week in "Rivals United" by participating in several different fundraisers before the big game. The school with the most money raised will win the traveling trophy and the losing school will sing the winning schools fight song at the boys game. Both have been competing in T-shirt sales, raffle drawings and even a dash for cash during the games.

Executive Director of the Van Wert County United Way says this event has brought two competitive schools together as friends. Between the two communities they were able to sell over 500 T-shirts.

The winner of the contest will be announced at Crestview High School Friday during the boys varsity basketball game.
