Cruz Speech Draws Anger and Disappointment at the RNC

Senator Ted Cruz took to the stage at Quicken Loans Arena Wednesday night to deliver a highly anticipated speech, but convention delegates didn't get what they were expecting.  Cruz started his speech by congratulating Trump for being named Republican Presidential nominee.  But as the speech continued, he told the crowd to "Stand and speak and vote their conscience," never once endorsing Trump as the nominee, which angered many in attendance.  Ohio Northern University student Troy Brinkman was front and center for Cruz's speech and he says he saw a different crowd from the start of the speech to the end of the speech.

The national media is reporting that Trump had seen a copy of Cruz's speech days before he took the stage and approved it, but Brinkman says he heard a lot of the boos coming from Trump camp. Trump will wrap up the convention Thursday night with his presidential nomination acceptance speech.Â
