Tuesday January 21, 2025
0506 hrs. – Deputies responded to a location on Towne Center Boulevard in the City of Van Wert for a suspicious vehicle.
0714 hrs. – Dispatched Grover Hill Fire, Middle Point Fire, Ottoville Fire, and Scott Fire to a report of a structure fire on Defiance Trail Road in Hoaglin Township. Deputies responded to assist with traffic.
1105 hrs. – Dispatched Willshire Fire, Wren Fire, Ohio City Fire, and Rockford Fire to a report of a structure fire on U.S. Route 33 in Willshire Township. Deputies and CERT responded to assist.
1231 hrs. – Deputies responded to a residence on North Franklin Street in the City of Van Wert to check the welfare of a dog.
1415 hrs. – Deputies responded to a location on Westwood Drive in the City of Van Wert to assist a motorist locked out of their vehicle.
1439 hrs. – Dispatched Middle Point EMS to a location on East Fifth Street in the City of Delphos for a subject with stroke symptoms.
1515 hrs. – Deputies responded to a location in the City of Van Wert to assist the Adult Parole Officer.
1724 hrs. – Deputies served a warrant issued by Van Wert County Common Pleas Court for Fifth-Degree Felony charge of Aggravated Possession of Drugs, and Possession of a Fentanyl Related Compound. Kaden James Michael Ballard age 23 of Delphos is being held at the Van Wert County Correctional Facility.
1733 hrs. – Deputies along with Middle Point Fire to an area of Lincoln Highway in Washington Township for a report of a vehicle fire.
1918 hrs. – Dispatched Middle Point EMS to a residence on Main Street in the Village of Venedocia for a subject not feeling well.

0629 hrs. – Dispatched Convoy EMS to a residence on Old Tile Factory Road in Pleasant Township for a subject with abdominal pain.
0923 hrs. – Deputies responded to an area of State Road in Washington Township for a report of a suspicious vehicle.
1459 hrs. – Deputies responded to a location on industrial drive in the City of Van Wert to assist a motorist locked out of their vehicle.
1624 hrs. – Deputies responded to a residence on Convoy Road in Tully Township for a report of fraud.
1649 hrs. – Deputies responded to a location on Lincoln Highway in Washington Township to check the welfare of a dog.
1656 hrs. – Deputies served a warrant issued by Van Wert County Common Pleas Court for a Community Control Violation. Chad Aaron Ratliff age 46 of Van Wert is being held at the Van Wert County Correctional Facility.
1757 hrs. – Deputies responded to a residence on Lewis Street in the City of Van Wert to assist a motorist locked out of their vehicle.
1903 hrs. – Deputies responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash involving a deer on Dull Robinson Road in Liberty Township, no injuries were reported.
1946 hrs. – Deputies responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash involving a deer on State Road in Washington Township, no injuries were reported.
