Deb's Dogs holds fundraiser at J's

It was a ruff crowd at J's American Pub Saturday night (4/28/18)!

Deb's Dogs held a silent auction fundraiser at J's Shawnee location. Over 200 businesses and individuals donated items to be auctioned off. Pet enthusiasts bid on everything from pet toys and veterinary coupons to more human-oriented prizes like a gas grill and a brand new lawn mower. Plus, bidders knew right where their money would be going because 100% of the money raised will go to help the animals of Deb's Dogs.

"When we rescue an animal, most of the time they're not spayed or neutered," says founder Debbie Helser. "They're not heart worm tested, cats are not. So, everything that leaves our rescue is current on vaccines, spayed, neutered, up to date on things and 100% of everything goes to the animals so the benefit of this will go towards paying vet bills and buying supplies for our pets."

A portion of food and drink purchases for the night also went to Deb's Dogs.
