News Release February 2nd through February 8th, 2025
On 2-2-2025 officers and EMS personnel were sent to the 900 block of Lima Ave. for a medical alarm activation. Upon arrival officers were able to locate a male at the residence who was sleeping. The male stated that he was fine but was unable to hear his alarm going off.
On 2-2-2025 a male called from the 600 block of N. Scott St. reporting dogs barking in the area.
On 2-4-2025 officers made contact with a male, 35-year-old Ross Hodde of Delphos, and found that he had an active warrant out of Allen County. Hodde was taken into custody without incident.
On 2-4-2025 a male came to the police department to file an Identity Theft report. The male told officers that he became aware that someone had opened a Verizon account using his personal information after receiving an alert on his credit score.
On 2-5-2025 officers spoke with a male who reported that his ex-girlfriend had items that belonged to him, and she was refusing to give them back.
On 2-6-2025 officers were dispatched to a business in the 300 block of N. Main St, to investigate an alarm activation.
On 2-6-2025 a male called the police department to report a suspicious male in the area of the 200 block of W. Clime St.
On 2-7-2025 a male called to report seeing two subjects behind his residence in the early morning hours.
On 2-7-2025 officers were dispatched to the 200 block Elida Rd, for a Domestic Disturbance. Officers spoke with a male and female at the residence. It was determined that the female just wanted to leave the residence, and no physical violence had occurred.
On 2-7-2025 officers were sent to investigate a private property crash at a business in the 200 block of Elida Rd.
On 2-7-2025 officers were sent to the 200 block of N. Main St, for a Domestic Disturbance. A male and female at the residence stated that they had a verbal altercation but nothing physical occurred.
On 2-8-2025 officers met with a female in the 300 block of E. 2nd St. She reported that someone had used her EBT card online to make a purchase.
On 2-8-2025 officers responded to the 200 block of W. Clime St, for a Domestic Dispute. Officers spoke with a male and female at the residence. Each stated that they had an argument but nothing physical occurred.
On 2-8-2025 officers received a complaint of a possible intoxicated driver operating his vehicle in Delphos. Officers located the vehicle and initiated a traffic stop after observing the driver commit a traffic offense. During the traffic stop officers did find probable cause to arrest the driver, 63-year-old Johnnie Jones, of Lima, for Operating the vehicle while intoxicated.
