January 6, 2025, press release from the Delphos Police Department: On 12-29-2024 officers spoke with a female in the 1200 block of N. Washington St, who reported that an item was missing from her residence. She believed that an acquaintance took the item during a previous visit.
On 12-29-2024 officers responded to the 400 block of S. Cass St, after a female reported an unknow male in her residence. Officers arrived and did not locate anyone but the female in the residence. The residence was secure, and it did not appear anyone else had been there.
On 12-30-2024 officers were sent to perform a well being check on a male in the 900 block of Lima Ave, after his home health nurse could not make contact with him. Officers located the male, who needed medical assistance, inside his residence.
On 12-31-2024 officers were dispatched to the 400 block of Grant St, for a Domestic Violence complaint. Officers arrived and met with a female and her juvenile son. The female told officers that her son had assaulted her. During the investigation of this incident officers did find probable cause to arrest the juvenile. He was then transported to the Allen County Juvenile Detention Center.
On 12-31-2024 officers were sent to a residence in the 500 block of Jackson St, for a disturbance. Officers arrived and observed a male running from the residence. Officers positively identified the male and found that he had an active warrant. Officers did not immediately locate the suspect, identified as Dru Leach, of Delphos, but did locate him later that evening and took him into custody.
On 1-1-2025 officers were sent to a residence on Grant St, to check the well being of a female at the home. It was reported that the female had made statements of harming herself.
 On 1-1-2024 officers were sent to investigate a crash on E. 2nd St, near N. Franklin St. Upon arrival officers found that the driver of a vehicle struck a car legally parked on E. 2nd St.
On 1-1-2025 officers and Delphos EMS personnel were sent to the 900 block of Lima Ave, for a report of a female who had attempted to harm herself. The female was located and transported to the hospital by EMS.
On 1-1-2025 officers were sent to the 500 block of N. Main St, for a male who called reportedly having a mental issue. Officers arrived and were speaking with the male when another male at the residence began causing a disturbance. One male was transported to the hospital for a mental evaluation while the second male, Zachary Hickman, of Delphos, was transported to jail for Disorderly Conduct by Intoxication.
On 1-2-2025 officers spoke with a male in the 500 block of W. 4th St. The male reported that two aggressive dogs were let out of a residence when he was in the area, and he was nearly bitten. Officers spoke with the dog’s owner to warn them of the incident.
On 1-3-2025 a female to the police department to make a report of a dog that keeps coming to her property unsupervised. Officers located the dogs owner and they were issued a summons for Dog Running At Large.
On 1-4-2025 officers were sent to the 100 block of E. 12th St, for an Unruly Juvenile complaint. While officers were investigating the incident, officers found that a male in the residence, 34-year-old Kent Schroeder, of Delphos had an active warrant for his arrest. Schroeder was taken into custody.
