Dunkin’ Donuts is looking to expand into the east side of Lima.
The Lima City Planning Commission met Wednesday afternoon to discuss the rezoning of 4 parcels at the Southwest portion of the intersection of Bellefontaine and Dana Avenue. The group voted to recommend that zoning be changed on those parcels from office use to business for retail use. The proposal is that there will be a Dunkin’ Donuts as well as three other shops.
Lima Mayor Sharetta Smith said, “I’m excited about the new businesses that are wanting to come in as well as those that are wanting to expand.”
She continued saying, “Dunkin’ Donuts has been able to have a positive return on their investment on one end of town, so now they want to expand to another end of town, so we welcome them into the community on the east side.”
The re-zoning recommendation will now go before city council.
