ELIDA, OH (WLIO) - The Elida Bulldogs continue the tradition of honoring servicemen and women, past and present, on Veterans Day. Middle school students held a reception for relatives who served.
Students were happy to put on the recognition ceremony, and they are grateful for the veterans who joined them.
The event followed the school's annual ceremony with music and speakers to honor active servicemen, women, and veterans of all branches of the armed forces.

This is the 10th year that the Elida Middle School has held its veterans recognition ceremony.
"Well, I hope that the kids think about maybe being a veteran in the future. Maybe if they see a veteran in public, they can talk to them and ask about their story," says Carson Bracy, 8th Grade Elida Middle School.
"So, like my dad is in the Navy, I find it very important to honor them because they have done so much for us. So, it's really important that we honor them. I really like how we do it because they do so much and showing how much they do for us. So, it means a lot," says Brandy Collier, 7th Grade Elida Middle School.
