Final "First Friday" event for 2024 to show appreciation for Lima's first responders

On the night of August 2, they are saluting first responders and have a lot of activities surrounding the women and men who serve and protect the city and county every day.

LIMA, OH (WLIO) - Downtown Lima Inc. is inviting people to come to the town square for their final First Friday of the summer.

The First Friday events not only showcase some of the businesses in downtown Lima but have a lot of fun activities for families to enjoy.

On the night of August 2, they are saluting first responders and have a lot of activities surrounding the women and men who serve and protect the city and county every day. "We have activities happening on North Main by Leaf & Luxe. We have the opportunity to get hands-on with our emergency response vehicles. We are going to have a fire truck from the Lima Fire Department. We are going to have "Cookies with a Cop" featuring Plush Cookies. We are also going to have the mounted posse, which is going to be a live police horse that you are going to be able to interact with and touch down at the square in front of ArtSpace/Lima," says Cricket Rodriguez, executive director of Downtown Lima, Inc.
