The Findlay City Schools will be closed until Wednesday, January 19th because of increased absences of staff and students.
Superintendent Tim Roth sent out a letter saying the school district would be closed Friday and Tuesday, January 18th because of the absenteeism and the staffing shortages they are seeing in all areas. The school district already had Monday off for Martin Luther King Jr. Day, but all extracurricular activities will continue as scheduled.
During the closure, the buildings will be sanitized thoroughly, and parents are asked to report any new positive COVID diagnoses to the building principals. Roth says he is proud of the staff for what they have done so far in keeping the operation running during the pandemic.
