Fire destroys restaurant in downtown Kenton

Around 3:45 a.m., the Kenton Fire Department was called to the 101 Smokehouse restaurant at 120 South Main Street for reports of a 3-alarm fire.

KENTON, OH (WLIO) - A downtown Kenton restaurant caught on fire early Wednesday morning.

The building was fully engulfed in flames and had significant structural damage.

Around 3:45 a.m., the Kenton Fire Department was called to the 101 Smokehouse restaurant at 120 South Main Street for reports of a 3-alarm fire. The building was fully engulfed in flames and had significant structural damage. Mutual aid was provided by McGuffey, Ada, Forest, Mount Victory, and Bellefontaine fire departments.

The 101 Smokehouse building has been reported as a total loss as the roof and most walls have collapsed along with water and smoke damage.
