LIMA, OH (WLIO) - A Toledo-based food truck owner teamed up with FreshnFaded to feed the community a quality Christmas Eve meal.
Every year FreshnFaded does something special for people in need around Christmas, and this year they decided to provide free dine-in and carry-out dinners to whoever needed or wanted one. The all-you-can-eat soul food spread included traditional holiday dishes like green beans, corn, and mac n' cheese. FreshnFaded regularly teams up with other small business owners for events like this as a way to thank those who gave them their start as an entrepreneur.
"I do stuff like this as appreciation for the support. Lima was one of the areas that helped me," said Keith Henry, owner of O'Henry's Kitchen on Wheels.
"For me, I think the people appreciate it because a lot of people don't have anyone to cook for them or be able to come somewhere and eat. And with O'Henry, he makes things happen for the community," added Leandra Johnson, the owner of FreshnFaded.
FreshnFaded hopes to partner with O'Henry's Kitchen OnWheels to serve a free meal again next year.
