The director of the Mazza Museum worked with university maintenance employees to design and build two pairs of giant eclipse glasses that will be on campus for the festivities on Monday. The maintenance team has been working on them for a couple of weeks. School officials expect a lot of visitors, both Findlay locals and out-of-towners, so the installation is one way they're working to give everyone a fun and unique experience.

"It's all about memories; these will be able to be used for photographs of families coming together and really embracing this as a family, as a community, and as a state, really," commented Ben Sapp, director of the University of Findlay Mazza Museum.

Along with being great for a one-of-a-kind photo-op, the glasses are actually fully functional.

"They're rated so people can look through them safely. It's going to be kind of neat to see how many people are gathered around them to watch the eclipse," commented Mark Ellerbrock, who built the two pairs of glasses alongside fellow maintenance employees Rene Garcia and Greg Parshall. "It's just going to be a chance of a lifetime for everyone to see this, and everyone's getting excited to be a part of it," said Mark Ellerbrock, maintenance team at the University of Findlay.

The University of Findlay will be hosting educational events at their Mazza Museum and planetarium through this weekend and on Monday morning leading up to the eclipse.
