For Angela Walters being at the Tri State Gun Collectors show is becoming a common occurrence.
The Bradner woman became interested in guns and hunting a short time ago thanks to her fiance who taught her how to safely handle a firearm.
Tara Gilbert from Van Wert, is also among a growing group of women who attend gun shows.
She owns a gun for protection.
Terry Morgan, president of the Tri State Gun Collectors, says the presence of more women at the event is a trend he's noticed also.
He says they've had record attendance over the past few years and he believes it's partly because of a perceived government crackdown on guns and more lenient concealed carry laws.
The Tri State Gun Collectors Show runs the first weekend of each month from October through May.
