FINDLAY, Oh (WLIO) - The Hancock County METRICH unit recently disrupted a drug operation in Findlay, leading to the arrest of a local man and the seizure of a large quantity of drugs, firearms, and other contraband.

Joshua Frenzel, 38, was taken into custody on multiple drug and gun-related warrants. The Hancock County Drug Task Force, alongside response teams from the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office and Findlay Police, conducted surveillance at Frenzel’s residence on Parkwood Drive. After observing several drug deals, they executed search warrants at two locations.

During the searches, law enforcement officials seized over 300 prescription pills, multiple suspected stolen credit cards, firearms, and drug paraphernalia. Two additional individuals are expected to face charges related to the drug raid.

On February 20, 2025, at approximately 12:00 p.m., the Hancock County METRICH Drug Task Force conducted surveillance on Frenzel’s known locations. Frenzel had several felony warrants out of the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office for first-degree possession of cocaine, third-degree possession of fentanyl, and third-degree weapons under disability.

Following the observation of what appeared to be multiple drug transactions at two separate residences, law enforcement obtained search warrants. At 5:03 p.m., with the assistance of the Hancock County Special Response Team (SRT) and the Findlay Police Department Emergency Response Team (ERT), they executed search warrants at 8166 Parkwood Drive and 10223 Parkwood Drive.

The searches resulted in the discovery of 26 Suboxone strips, more than 300 prescription pills, suspected stolen credit cards, $490 in cash, two firearms, drug paraphernalia, and numerous items indicative of drug trafficking.

As the investigation continues, the following individuals are expected to face charges of possession and permitting drug abuse:

  • Haley Harris (age 22)

  • Justin Patterson (age 36)
    10223 Parkwood Drive, Findlay, OH

Joshua Frenzel was arrested and booked into the Hancock County Justice Center. He faces charges stemming from the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office warrants, including first-degree possession of cocaine, third-degree possession of fentanyl, and third-degree weapons under disability. Additional charges of drug trafficking and possession of drugs are anticipated upon completion of the investigation.
