HARDIN COUNTY, OH (WLIO) - The Hardin County Sheriff's Office held two open house events to provide information about an upcoming renewal levy on the next election ballot.

Hardin County Sheriff's Office held two open house events.
The events aimed to give community members the opportunity to meet and interact with Sheriff Keith Everhart and tour the facility to better understand how the levy funds are used.
"This community has been very, very supportive of us over the years. This levy has been in place since 2010 so we've had a couple renewal since 2010. This community has just always been so supportive. I'm out here asking for their continued support. This levy brings in approximately 22-23% of our entire overall operating budget," said Sheriff Keith Everhart with the Hardin Co. Sheriff's Office.
The renewal levy will appear on the May 6 ballot. Early in-person voting began April 8.
