Health Partners of Western Ohio Opens Fourth Lima Facility

Health Partners of Western Ohio opened the doors to their fourth facility in Lima Monday afternoon. Their newest clinic, built right next to their original quick care clinic on North Main Street, will offer pediatricians, adult medical services, behavioral health services, substance abuse treatment and a full pharmacy.  Janis Sunderhaus, the CEO of Health Partners of Western Ohio says they expect this clinic to bring in an additional 4 thousand patients.  When the organization first started fourteen years ago, Sunderhaus says she had no doubt they would eventually grow to what they are today.

"I always thought there was this place for neighborhood care where people have a primary care home, where they know the people that take care of them that's nice and pleasant and people feel welcomed, so I know 14 years ago with $5,000 and three employees it doesn't sound like it but absolutely I did, I really thought this is what community health and public health needs," Sunderhaus said.

The open house served as a way to recognize their now 275 employees and dedicate a plaque to Reverend Bob Horton, who has been involved in neighborhood revitalization for the past 25 years. The clinic at 1550 North Main Street in Lima will start seeing patients Tuesday and will be open Monday through Friday 8 am to 8 pm.
