If you have more cars than parking space where you live, the Lima Public Works Committee recommends you don't park in your yard, because you will receive a ticket.
Last year, Lima City Council passed an ordinance stating it is illegal to park vehicles in yards after receiving various complaints from community members. The Public Works Committee met tonight to talk about that ordinance and add some guidelines to it. Committee members are currently discussing ordinance ideas where homeowners and landlords can add gravel or a parking pad to add more spaces to the property legally that will not take away from city aesthetics or cause water run off issues.
