LIMA, OH (WLIO) - It's never too early to think about Christmas and Downtown Lima Inc. is hoping you think of them this holiday season.
The downtown street lamps have long been decorated throughout the year and are really decked out for the winter holidays. They are doing a new fundraiser selling "gift tags" that can have your name on it to hang on the lamps this Christmas. The money raised will go toward the upkeep and storage of the holiday decorations.
"You can do it as a family, you can do it as a group, a church, a business, it's just a happy holidays from. Then we'll post those in their location so you can stop by and say hi to your gift tag. Those gift tags will be part of our decor and that everybody will just kind of see that you and your family support what we're doing in downtown Lima," said Betsy Billingsley, executive director of Downtown Lima Inc.
You get a large red and white gift tag for a $50 donation to Downtown Lima Inc. The deadline to purchase a gift tag is September 30th.
