Jessica Dill

Hi Lima! I'm thrilled to be your morning anchor and producer!! Born and raised in Cleveland, I couldn't be more excited to be back home in Ohio where I fell in love with the world of journalism at a young age! I pursued my dream and received a bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism with a minor in Political Science at Bowling Green State University. I began my career as a photographer and switcher for WBGU-PBS before working for BGSU and Wood County's local station BG-24 News. For four years I served as general manager, producer, reporter, anchor, photographer and editor. Upon graduation I immediately moved to Chicago to begin my master's program.

I spent 2008-2009 reporting the busy streets of Chicago and the intense hallways of Capitol Hill while receiving my Master's Degree at the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University. In Chicago I worked as a reporter covering stories such as President Obama's Election Day, Governor Blagojevich's impeachment, and escalating turmoil in the South Side gangs. I then moved to Washington D.C. where I worked as a Capitol Hill correspondent for stations across the country.

Being a competitive swimmer my entire life, morning wake-up calls have become second nature to me. That's why I'm ecstatic to be working morning shift with David and Kyle. My family and friends mean the world to me so when I'm not covering stories I love spending all my free time with them! And of course, relaxing, being an avid sports fan and eating pizza! If you have a question, comment, request to be on our show, or just want to say hi please feel free to shoot me an email anytime at jdill@wlio.com.
