New leadership has been named for the Apollo Career Center.
According to Apollo board president Ned Stechschulte, the current superintendent of the Wapakoneta City Schools, Keith Horner, will take the over at Apollo. Stechshulte says their superintendent search started with 15 applicants, and they interviewed five people initially; with final candidate interviews for the job being wrapped up this past weekend. That's when the decision to hire Horner was made.
Keith Horner has served in the Wapakoneta City School System for more than a decade. He's expected to be formally hired at Apollo during a board meeting on March 26th. Faculty and staff at Apollo and in the Wapakoneta City Schools were notified of the decision by e-mail earlier Tuesday.
