The Lima Central Catholic basketball team was honored by Lima City Council tonight for their recent state championship.
Council passed a resolution congratulating the team for the March 19th 66 to 44 win over Cleveland Villa Angela St. Joseph.
Coach Frank Kill and team members were present to receive the honor tonight.
The LCC Thunderbirds are the first city team to win three division three state titles.
