KENTON, Ohio (WLIO) — A Lima woman has pleaded not guilty to charges related to the death of her sister in 2025.

Donna Miller, 64, was arraigned in Hardin County Common Pleas Court on charges of murder, strangulation, involuntary manslaughter and felonious assault in connection with the death of 71-year-old Paula Dirmeyer.

The Ada Police Department says Dirmeyer went to their office on Nov. 24 alleging she had been physically assaulted in the village. The indictment states that Miller was the attacker and that the assault involved strangulation.

Dirmeyer was found dead in her Harrod-area home three days later. After receiving the results of the autopsy, Ada police arrested Miller on a murder charge.

Bond for Miller has been set at $500,000.
