LIMA, OH (WLIO) - The Lima Public Library is offering more than just page-turners and literature, it's also offering a way to spruce up your garden.
Spring is just around the corner and the Lima Library is here to help provide you with a variety of seeds to brighten up your grounds. There is a limit of 20 packets per person and you may choose one packet from each category up to the total limit. The categories range from flowers to herbs and vegetables, and whether you've got a green thumb or are just looking to get started, the library can help you get ready for spring.
"So I mean people with green thumbs, or people who want to experiment with their green thumb can come in and they can give it a try. February is a great time to start thinking about what you want to plant in your garden. Come March you might want to start growing those seeds in your basement or your house and get them started. So we have a wide variety. We have a lot of variations of tomatoes, we have things like Brussels sprouts, we have a lot of different herbs, so your basil varieties and stuff like that. So but we have sheets here that people can come and check out and look and see what they want," said Liz Winhover, head of public relations at the Lima Public Library.
The seeds are free and open to the public, but the seeds are on a first-come, first-serve basis and you can get them at the "Ask Here Desk" at the main library at 650 W Market St, Lima, OH 45801.
