Lima Senior students showing off their art skills at their annual Visual Energy art exhibit Tuesday evening.
Art from freshman, sophomore, and junior students was on display at the Allen County Museum as part of the opening reception for the exhibit, to put a spotlight what the students have been creating all year. People can also stop by and see the artwork during normal museum hours.
This is the first show that the school has been able to put on since the pandemic started, and there are a variety of different mediums that the students have been working with in their art classes.
"Some of them like 3D, and some like 2D, which means that flat drawing kind of thing is not always everybody’s style or things that they like to do," said Kay Wilusz, an art teacher for Lima Senior. "And so this year we did a lot more clay and paper mâché, and I’m starting to do some glass casting with them, so it’s been fun."
Work from the senior students will be showcased later this year.
