Lima teen gets prison time for assaulting a person with a gun

A Lima teen was sentenced to five years in prison for violently hitting a person with a gun.

The judge gave Jeremiah Alexander two years for felonious assault and three years for the gun specification. Prosecutors say that the victim was brought to a house to speak to Alexander, then was attacked and beat with a gun. The victim required staples in their head from their injuries. While he was on house arrest, Alexander escaped to Florida before he was recaptured and brought back to Lima.
