A Lima teen convicted of shooting at law enforcement will be behind bars for quite some time.
17-year-old Duran Tyson Jr. was sentenced to a minimum of 25 years in prison and may serve up to 29 and a half years. Tyson pleaded guilty to three of his eight charges, aggravated burglary, attempted murder and carrying a concealed weapon. He and two others were involved in the robbery of a Clark Gas Station on Bluelick Rd. on May 30. Through security video, Tyson was recognized and found outside his Reese Avenue home. When an Allen County deputy approached Tyson, he started shooting at the officer but missed.
