Reineke Family Dealerships and the Lima UAW Local 1219 donated nearly $4,500 to the Veterans Food Pantry staff.

Reineke Family Dealerships and the Lima UAW Local 1219 donated nearly $4,500 to the Veterans Food Pantry staff. The money donated was all the proceeds collected from Reineke's annual Veterans Car Show back in October.

The donations will be used to purchase a new van for the food pantry, as the current van has 350,000 miles on it, an investment that will help the food pantry continue to provide important services to the community.

"I've volunteered here myself personally since 2019. They don't open until 1 o'clock, and at 9 a.m., the lot is full, so it's very important that the funds keep it going because we're ran on all on donations where we have to purchase the food, and so very important," said Jeff Adams, president of the UAW Local 1219.

The Veterans Car Show will be back again on the first Saturday of October.

"For myself and the Reineke family, we can't thank what the veterans have done over the years for our country and all of us, so it's just a little something we can do to help give back," said Matt Holtsberry, general manager of Reineke Ford Lincoln of Lima.

Reineke will bring the Veterans Car Show back again on the first Saturday of October.
