SHAWNEE TOWNSHIP, OH (WLIO) - A worker at a local tank farm terminal in Shawnee Township was rescued Monday morning.
Firefighters ultimately found the man on top of a large liquid storage tank suffering from a medical emergency.
Just after 10:15 am Monday morning, the Shawnee Township Fire Department responded to a report of a male in and out of consciousness. Firefighters ultimately found the man on top of a large liquid storage tank suffering from a medical emergency. Through technical rescue operations, Shawnee firefighters safely brought the worker to the ground and performed immediate medical care. The worker was transported to a local hospital and is expected to make a full recovery. Shawnee firefighters note the location of the victim, and the freezing cold temperatures made the rescue very challenging.
