There's plenty to do and see over the weekend at the Maria Stein Country Fest.
The festival is three days long and features all sorts of events, from live music, a circus, basketball tournaments and more. Â Festival goers can enjoy plenty of food too, like turtle soup and chicken dinners. Â Organizers say that the festival is a great way to bring the community together, and it helps out local businesses.
"Basically everything here is for the community - all the stands are run by organizations and all the proceeds go back to a lot of these organizations so a lot of this is just fundraising," said Brad Everman, president of the Country Fest.  "Everybody comes out and works a little bit and volunteers their time and everybody gets the proceeds back to them."
The Country Fest will continue on through Sunday.
