Lima, OH (WLIO) - 11 people were honored for their work in the community by the Marimor Employment Services Department. The ceremony recognized individuals enrolled in the program that have held jobs in the community from 5 to 30 years. In 2022, 11 people were honored who have worked in fields such as community service, childcare, and warehouse jobs. Organizers say an event like this is important to recognize the hard work being done in the local community.
"We're so proud of them. I mean, they desire to work, and employers appreciate when they have employees that you know want to work, show up to every shift, stay off their phones, and things like that,” says Rochelle Benfield, the Employment Services Manager for Marimor Industries. “We feel that's important, we want them to feel special and that they are getting something from their work. They're working hard. They get the paycheck, they love that, but you know just to be recognized means a lot."
Employment Services is a division of Marimor that helps individuals find and maintain employment in the community.
