DELPHOS, OH (WLIO) - Veterans were honored in Delphos for their service and dedication to the country.
The Meadows of Delphos held a Veterans Day brunch where veterans enjoyed a buffet-style meal. A bingo event, as well as Delphos Jefferson school choir were just some of the ways that they also showed the veterans that they care and are thankful for their service. Two veterans from the Meadows of Delphos also recently went on an Honor Flight and said that the trip was an eye-opening experience.
"It was definitely life-changing. It was definitely an amazing experience. I got to go with Honor Flight out of Findlay. I got to go with one of our residents who is a 98-year-old World War II veteran. It was definitely amazing and was a great time," said Scott Edsell, director of plan operators at Meadows of Delphos.
"It was very good. Something that I have always wanted to do and luckily I had Scott with me to take care of me. We had a really good day and saw all of the monuments and most everything there," said Dean Noffsinger, veteran.
Each veteran also received a gift from the Meadows to thank them for their service.
