Article written and provided by the Mennonite Home Communities of Ohio: Mennonite Home Communities of Ohio will host their 3rd Annual Gala on October 10th, 2024. This year’s theme, sponsored by our Platinum Sponsor, Plante Moran, will be “Boots & Bandanas,” and guests will be invited to wear their favorite western attire. MHCO's Gala is a fundraising event to benefit the Mennonite Home Communities of Ohio Benevolent Care Fund, which provides support to care for older adults who have outlived their resources. We would also like to thank our gold sponsors, Hometown Pharmacy and the Water Equipment Company, for their ongoing generous support.

This event will take place at Ebenezer Mennonite Church at 8905 Columbus Grove-Bluffton Road, Bluffton, at 6 p.m. Guests will be treated to a dinner of pulled pork, pulled chicken, baked beans with brisket, smashed potatoes with gravy, coleslaw, corn muffins, and cheesecake. The meal will be catered by City BBQ. Entertainment during the dinner event includes raffles, a silent auction, and a live auction.

If you or your business or organization would like to contribute with a sponsorship or a prize, please contact Ryan Gathard at ryan.gathard@bhrc.org or at 937-683-6540, as we are still accepting both prizes and sponsors.

If you are interested in attending this event, you can purchase tickets now for the dinner, as well as the raffle tickets online at https://mhcoliving.org/ways-to-give/mhcogala/ or at the front desk of each MHCO campus. Tickets will be available until October 4th. Tickets for the meal are available online for $30 each (plus online fees), or at the front desk of Mennonite Memorial Home or Maple Crest for $30 each until September 30, or $35 after September 30. MHCO would like to thank the Bluffton, Pandora, and surrounding communities for their continued support and generosity over our 69 years of service. MHCO’s mission statement is, “We are dedicated to being a Christ-centered community that promotes personal decision-making and purposeful living for each older adult served.” For more information about the Gala, contact Ryan Gathard at ryan.gathard@bhrc.org or at 937-683-6540.
