A Lima woman says enough is enough and is taking a stand against the violence and disrespect she's seeing in Lima. It's a new ministry that Mary Blanche Hengstler hopes will allow people to get to know each other as they come together in praise and prayer. She's calling it "Com-UNITY" stressing the "Unity" as a sign that together Lima can stop the violence and become united.
"There is so much, not only violence, but disrespect for our neighbor and humankind and we really need to just come back together and love and in caring if we could all learn to walk a mile in one another's shoes," said Mary Blanche Hengstler, Founder of Com-UNITY Ministry.
Hengstler is inviting all Lima residents for evenings of praise and prayer. The first will be Monday, July 22, 2019, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in Faurot Park at Shelter House #1 and the following Monday, July 29, 2019, will be at the same time but at the Robb Park Shelter House. She says they'll announce more dates and locations in the near future.
