Former Allen County Sheriff Sam Crish's civil cases are moving forward, but he's now facing two new lawsuits.
Attorneys for Ray Magnus, David Hefner, and Greg Schiffler met with visiting Judge James Barber and Crish's attorney, Mike Rumer. They talked about the three civil cases filed against Crish. We're also finding out that two more cases were filed against Crish on Wednesday. Gary Richardson filed a civil suit against Crish after he failed to give Richardson 25% of a partnership's profit they agreed on, as payment for a $25,000 loan.
The second lawsuit comes from John Brownell. Brownell claims he made several personal loans to Crish, which total $21,000. Brownell says he has not received any payments from Crish.
Crish's pre-trial date on the first 3 lawsuits has been set for May 9, 2017 at the Allen County Common Pleas Court.
