The Lima area McDonald's are going high tech when you order.
At the newly remodeled Market Street McDonald's, you will find ordering kiosks when you come in the door. The kiosks will be used by customers to order their food, pay for it, and then when the order is complete an employee will bring your food out to you or you can pick it up at the counter if ordering out. You can also use a mobile app to order food. These new systems will be an addition to the old way of ordering food at the counter to help speed up the process and improve customer service.
“We now have the way that you can come in and do the order yourself. You can go to the front counter and we can wait on you there, you can go into one of the double drive-throughs, or you can go onto the mobile app and order your food there and pick it up by literally sitting in your car,” says Jerry Lewis, Owner of Jerry Lewis McDonald's. “We are trying to find ways to be able to make it more convenient to our customers.”
They are hoping to have the ordering kiosks in all of the Lima McDonald's in 2018.
Lewis also says they are working on a way to get food delivered to you. They are currently working on getting Uber Eats to come to the area and they are hoping to have that service available sometime in 2018.
