If you are looking to get rid of some old electronics, you can do it in Lima on Saturday (7/14/18).
The North Central Ohio Solid Waste District is holding an electronic waste and appliance recycling day at their office at 815 Shawnee Rd. You can recycle your old appliances as well as electric devices and accessories like cords and computer mice. There is a $20 charge for TV's and CRT monitors, but anything else can be donated for free. Recycling the products keep them from going into landfills and potentially contaminating any water supplies.
"Somebody's got to provide the service and we're a government agency so we don't make money, we just provide a service," says Dennis Baker, Executive Director of N.C.O. Solid Waste District. "It keeps the material out of the landfill and out of the aquifers that are sometimes underneath or close to a landfill."
Rain or shine, you can drop your electronics off at the offices from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm.
