New student building for OSU Lima

Ohio State Lima celebrates their new Perry Webb student life building with a topping off ceremony.

Students, teachers, and staff gathered to watch the final structure beam be placed on the new student life building. The building is a 5.2 million dollar project that will have a fitness center, lounges, work spaces, and information commons. Director of Advancement at OSU Lima, Lesley Fry, says the building will create the core of student life experience for everyone on campus and they are all very excited about the new facility.

"A lot of people in this community have helped make this possible and so today to be able to see them place that final beam on top of that structure was really exiting for those of us that have worked here for a number of years and talked about this building and then more importantly the people who have been working here throughout the summer and seen it really take shape. We just broke ground in May so to see the physical shape of this the structure by just the first of August is really exciting," says Fry.

Construction is set to be done by Spring 2018 and the Webb will be open starting fall of 2018 just in time to welcome new students.
