Allen County is still enjoying a pleasant autumn, but the Ohio Department of Transportation is getting ready for a snowy winter.
ODOT District 1 says last years snow and ice was very minimal, but they are prepared for anything. Besides putting salt down, one tool ODOT will be utilizing this year is a liquid de-icer called brine. Allen County, prepared with a fleet of 18 snowplows and a full stock of salt and brine, is ready to battle the snow and ice.
