The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a two-vehicle hit-skip crash that occurred just after 9:30 p.m. Thursday night on State Route 309.
26-year-old Tyler Farler was driving his motorcycle eastbound on 309 when another vehicle driving southbound on Thayer Road collided with Farler. The second vehicle fled the scene. Farler was transported by Bath Township EMS to Lima Memorial Hospital and remains in serious condition. Farler had a passenger, 28-year-old Michelle Smith who was transported by Perry Township EMS to the same hospital. She was treated for minor injuries and released.
Investigators are currently trying to find the other vehicle involved in the accident.
