OSU Lima holds informational meeting on College Credit Plus program

Ohio State Lima hosted an informational meeting on Sunday about the College Credit Plus program, which allows students in grades 7-12 to begin taking college courses online and in person. The program is free to all public school students, and many homeschool and private school students also qualify for grants to pay for it. A variety of classes are available, from basic gen eds to courses specific to majors like business. Many students enrolled in College Credit Plus graduate high school with a big head start on their secondary education.

"They are allotted 30 credits per year between their high school credits and their college credits, so they can talk to their school counselors about that. But throughout the duration of the program, for the lifetime of the program, they can take up to 120 credits. They could get an associate's degree if they start early enough and they really work at it," explained Emma Wurst, an admissions counselor at OSU Lima.

The deadline to apply for Ohio State Lima's 2024 fall semester is May 1st.
