OTTOVILLE, Ohio (WLIO) — In a rematch of a regular-season defensive battle, Ottoville wasted no time making a statement — dominating New Knoxville 5–0 in postseason play on Saturday night.
Less than two minutes in, a loose ball got away from the keeper and Ashton Miller pounced, cleaning it up for the opening goal to give the Big Green a 1–0 lead.
Later in the half, Ty Horstman sent a long ball up the field to Miller, who made a move and buried his second goal of the night to double the Ottoville lead.
The Big Green kept attacking as Joe Leis added another goal, helping Ottoville cruise to a five-nil shutout victory.
Ottoville advances to face Temple Christian on Tuesday at Elida.
