LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) — A former Shawnee teacher is facing multiple charges involving pornography.
Ryan Quatman, 41, was indicted by an Allen County grand jury on two counts of illegal use of a minor in nudity-oriented material and 22 counts of disseminating matter harmful to juveniles. Half of those charges are fifth-degree felonies, while the others are first-degree misdemeanors. According to the indictment, the incidents happened in February and March of 2023.
Quatman was placed on administrative leave on March 31 and had served as a technology teacher and coach at the school. He was released on bond after his arrest this week. According to the Superintendent, Quatman employment in the school district could be discussed in executive session during their next school board meeting. A court hearing for Quatman is scheduled at the end of the month.
