LIMA, OH (WLIO) - Our Daily Bread in Downtown Lima showed the public their newly finished renovations made to the building.
The entire front side of the building was renovated.
Our Daily Bread was joined by the Lima Allen County Chamber of Commerce to celebrate the exterior improvements completed. The entire front side of the building was renovated. A bright red "Our Daily Bread" sign was installed along with a brand new front porch that has a handicap-accessible ramp attached. New security lights were also installed on the front side. With these new features, Our Daily Bread Director, Randy Kimpel, hopes to help even more people.
"We're hoping it's more inviting. Just because we know there's people out there that should be coming to us but don't. And so, we just want to make it more pleasant; just show people that 'hey, it's just a lovely place to come, I mean inside and out.' Like I said, anybody can be in this position, and we just want to let them know we're here to help," says Randy Kimpel, Director, Our Daily Bread.
Last year, Our Daily Bread served over 36,000 meals, and just last month, they averaged 166 people per day.
